One killed, one injured in Soap Lake crash

SOAP LAKE — Grant County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a vehicle crash near Soap Lake that killed a 17-year-old girl and seriously injured a 17-year-old boy.

The sheriff’s office said both teens were ejected from their vehicle after it struck a driveway culvert around Saturday morning.

The girl was declared dead at the scene.

The boy was taken to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake and then flown by helicopter to a Spokane hospital.
