MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — The annual open house at the Mountlake Terrace Police Department is set for 6 to 8 p.m. May 15.
The event at the police station, 5906 232nd St. SW, also commemorates Police Memorial Week. It will begin with a color guard presentation. A wreath ceremony honoring fallen officers also is planned.
The event is designed for families. Detectives, traffic officers, code enforcement officers and crime prevention experts will be there to spend time with guests and answer questions, as well as the police chief.
People can tour the station, including the jail, and check out squad cars.
Pet licenses will be available for purchase. Light refreshments will be served.
