Celebrate: Eagles return to Stilly

The Arlington-Stillaguamish Eagle Festival is Friday and Saturday, celebrating the winter return of eagles to the Stillaguamish River.

Festival events include guided tours, art and photography shows, speakers, demonstrations, live music, wagon and horseback rides and more.

Event locations are around Arlington, as well as in Darrington and the Port Susan Bay Reserve.

Discover: Debunk mushroom myths

Danny Miller of the Puget Sound Mycological Society will speak on “Mushroom Mythbusters or Fungal Fables Debunked: Interesting Mushroom Myths and the Truth Behind Them” at a meeting of the Snohomish County Mycological Society, 7:30-9:30 p.m. Feb. 11 at Baker Community Center, 1401 Poplar St., Everett.

The program is free and open to the public.

Sip: Meet Eleanor Roosevelt at tea

A Valentine’s High Tea and Chat with Eleanor Roosevelt (played by storyteller Debbie Dimitre) will be held at 1 p.m. Feb. 14 at the Stillaguamish Senior Center, 18308 Smokey Point Blvd., Arlington.

Tickets are $12 and available at the senior center. Refreshments will be served.

Dance: Alzheimer’s benefit coming up

The annual Alzheimer’s Benefit Dance is set for 1-4 p.m. Feb. 22 at Edmonds Masonic Hall, 515 Dayton St. All proceeds benefit Alzheimer’s research programs at the University of Washington and Rush University Medical Center.

The dance is in memory of Marty Bahr, brother of benefit organizer Joe Bahr of the Sky Valley Whirlwinds dance club in Mill Creek.
