Lynnwood: 30 years of Friends of Library
The Friends of the LynnÂwood Library plan to celebrate the group’s 30th anniversary with a free open house event at 1 p.m. Sunday at the library. Sno-Isle Libraries director Jonalyn Woolf-Ivory will talk about the group, and a musical performance by the Martha Lake Elementary School Choir is scheduled. Light refreshments and door prizes are planned. The Lynnwood Library is located at 19200 44th Ave. W.
Edmonds: Grow warm-season crops
A free lecture by a master gardener is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday at the Edmonds Library, 650 Main St., in Edmonds. Willi Galloway is the scheduled speaker, and she will discuss how to grow warm season crops in the cool local climate. Galloway is the West Coast editor of Organic Gardening magazine and writes a cooking blog. Friends of the Edmonds Library are sponsoring the program.
