Lynnwood: Tips for caregivers
Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a six-week educational series designed to provide people with the tools they need to take care of themselves while caring for a loved one. It will outline how to reduce stress, improve self-confidence, better communicate feelings, find balance in your life, increase your ability to make tough decisions, and locate resources.
The classes will be held for six weeks from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoons beginning Feb. 2 at the Lynnwood Senior Center, 5800 198th St. SW.
The class is free, but space is limited and registration is required.

Mukilteo: Kamiak boosters host breakfast
The Kamiak High School Performing Arts Boosters will host a pancake breakfast fundraiser from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Mukilteo Presbyterian Church, 4514 84th Street SW.
Visitors will be served pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, and coffee, milk and juice.
Tickets are $10 per person and will be available at the door or at the Whidbey Coffee outlet next to Ace Hardware on the Mukilteo Speedway.
Proceeds will support the scholarship fund for the school’s band, choir, color guard, dance, drama, jazz and orchestra.
