Lake Stevens: Comprehensive plan on agenda
The Lake Stevens City Council may make several changes to the city’s comprehensive plan tonight.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Lake Stevens School District Educational Services Center, 12309 22nd Street NE.
Public hearings on the changes were held at previous meetings.
State Rep. Brian Sullivan, D-Mukilteo, who is also a Snohomish County councilman-elect, is scheduled to discuss the planing group Snohomish County Tomorrow.

Mukilteo: Library class on college admission
Students can learn to increase their chances of being accepted into college at an event being planned for the Mukilteo Library.
The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday at the library, 4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd. The event is for high school students.
Participants are expected to learn how to present themselves on campus visits, what to do during admissions interviews, and how to write personal essays.
Daniel Follmer, assistant director of admission at University of Puget Sound, is planning to lead the event.

Snohomish: Senior Center plans Christmas dance
Everyone is invited to a Christmas dance at the Snohomish Senior Center from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 20. The center is temporarily located at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1514 Pine Ave.
This event is the final day of the center’s tea dance class, which is taught by Colleen Dobbins, who held such classes in England. Participants are set to waltz, fox trot, quickstep, rumba and tango.
The cost is $7 for members of the center, $8.25 for nonmembers.
