Lake Stevens: City Council, board to meet
The City Council and the city’s Planning Commission have scheduled a joint meeting tonight.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Lake Stevens School District Educational Services Center, 12309 22nd Street NE.
The commission advises the council on matters related to zoning and development.

Mukilteo: Meet local author at library
Meet Mukilteo author Gabriella Herkert at an event being planned for the Mukilteo Library.
The event is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the library at 4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd. Herkert plans to sign her book, “Catnapped: An animal instinct mystery.”

Snohomish: Rotary Club seeks donations
The Rotary Club of Snohomish has recently been awarded a $3,000 matching grant from Rotary International to help purchase a SMART board system to benefit AIM High School classes.
The total system includes an interactive whiteboard, a projector and a document camera, in conjunction with a computer. The club must match this grant by Jan. 1. The total estimated cost of the system is $6,155.
The club is requesting that tax deductible donations be made to the Snohomish Rotary Charitable Foundation, P.O. Box 537, Snohomish, WA 98291-0537.
