Mukilteo: Council to discuss annexation
The city of Mukilteo’s latest annexation plans call for the city to extend its boundary south to 148th Street SW and include the Norma Beach area.
The plan leaves out Meadowdale Park, as well as the neighborhood between the park and 148th Street SW.
The Mukilteo City Council is scheduled to vote today whether to approve an agreement with Snohomish County that specifies the responsibilities of each entity if Mukilteo’s annexation plans move forward. The City Council meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at City Hall at 4480 Chennault Beach Road.
Mukilteo planners are still working with Lynnwood city officials to reach an agreement preventing both cities from trying to annex the same parts of the Meadowdale area, Mukilteo Mayor Joe Marine said.
