Everett: S. Forest Park potluck tonight

South Forest Park Neighborhood Association is scheduled to hold a dessert potluck and food drive for Housing Hope at 7 tonight at Zion Lutheran Church, 4634 Alger Ave.

The Russian Chorale is scheduled to perform.

Those who would like to attend are asked to bring a dessert to share and nonperishable food for Housing Hope’s shelter pantry.

Planning meeting on new standards

The Everett Planning Commission is scheduled today to take public testimony on proposed new residential design standards for the core downtown and historic preservation guidelines.

The commission meets at 6:30 p.m. at Everett Station’s Weyerhaeuser Room, 3201 Smith Street.

Lake Stevens: Help fill a bilingual need

The Lake Stevens Family Center is looking for a part-time bilingual program coordinator.

The employee will be paid for 20 hours a week to help with activities and educational opportunities for English and Spanish speaking families with children up to age 11.

Snohomish: Center has Christmas dance

Everyone is invited to a Christmas Dance at the Snohomish Senior Center from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 20. The center is temporarily located at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1514 Pine Ave.

This event is the final day of the Center’s Tea Dance Class taught by Colleen Dobbins, who held such classes in England. Participants are set to waltz, foxtrot, quickstep, rumba and tango.

The cost is $7 for members of the senior center or $8.25 for nonmembers.

Mukilteo: Jugglers plan library show

Watch jugglers toss and catch items with their feet at an event planned for the Mukilteo Library.

Winter Extravaganza: Brothers from Different Mothers is scheduled for 4 p.m. Dec. 27 at the library at 4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd.

The comedic duo is planning a show with tricks such as juggling with their feet.
