More than 100 different varieties of mushrooms will be on display at the fall mushroom show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Floral Hall at Forest Park, 802 E. Mukilteo Blvd. Vendor booths, lectures and demonstrations at the free event are sponsored by the Snohomish County Mycological Society.

Cop, prosecutor visit South Forest Park
Everett Police Department Lt. David Fudge and Everett community prosecutor Leslie Tidball are scheduled to meet with the South Forest Park Neighborhood Association at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church, 4634 Alger Ave., to talk about the code compliance office moving from parks to the police department.

Mukilteo: Learn about health services
People can learn how to get an array of health and human services resources by phone during an event being planned for the Mukilteo Library.
The event, called 211: Gateway to Community Services, is scheduled for 11 a.m. Oct. 20 at the library, 4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd.
Barbara McKnight of VOA of Western Washington is planning to lead the event, which is sponsored by Friends of the Mukilteo Library.

Snohomish: Awards for preservation
The Snohomish Historical Society is set to present certificates of contribution for property improvements to business owners and homeowners at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Waltz Building, 116 Ave. B.
The Mary Olsen Preservation Awards are presented every two years to owners of businesses or homes in the city in recognition of contributions to the enhancement of historic Snohomish for outstanding renovation or restoration.
Mary Olsen was a founding member of the Snohomish Historical Society, and with her husband, Everett, helped to save many of the historic homes and buildings in the city.
The event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served.
