Arlington: Bridge repairs complete
Both lanes of the South Slough Bridge are open again after Snohomish County workers added safety enhancements to the 1918-era bridge.
A new bridge deck was constructed of concrete panels and steel railings. In order to minimize costs and avoid wetlands issues, the existing foundational structure was used.
The concrete arch bridge is located at the north end of Smokey Point Boulevard near Arlington. The county estimates that it is used by more than 5,000 vehicles daily.
