Camano Island: Ball planned for Dec. 31
The Camano Senior and Community Center plans to hold its Black and White Ball from 8 p.m. to midnight on New Year’s Eve.
The Camano Junction band is scheduled to perform at the ball.
The event is a fundraiser for the center.
Tickets are $15 each and include hot appetizers and a champagne toast at midnight.
The center is at 606 Arrowhead Road.

Marysville: Holidays delay trash pickup
The city of Marysville and Waste Management will continue to provide regular garbage pickup during the weeks of Christmas and New Year’s Day.
Collection will be delayed one day all week, each week. Waste Management will follow this same schedule for all-in-one recycle collection.

Stanwood: Cookbook to help pay for garden
Josephine Suites Assisted Living in Stanwood is selling a cookbook for $12.
Proceeds will go to a memorial garden for the center’s residents, their family and staff. The book includes more than 500 family recipes including appetizers, main dishes and desserts.
