Arlington: Art tour this weekend
More than a dozen Arlington artists plan to showcase their work in a studio tour Saturday and Sunday. Several home studios are scheduled to open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Arlington High School students plan to sell artwork and wreaths from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Performing Arts Center lobby, 18821 Crown Ridge Blvd.
The Arlington Library, 135 N. Washington Ave., plans to feature local artwork at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Camano Island: Transit turns 20
Island Transit celebrates 20 years of service on Saturday.
Island Transit began service in 1987 with four 30-foot buses and 161 riders on the first day of operation.
Now an average of 4,500 people ride Island Transit’s nearly 200 vehicles daily.
Island Transit serves riders on Camano and Whidbey Islands.

Marysville: Parade grand marshal picked
Alice Corsino of Marysville has been selected to serve as grand marshal for the Merrysville for the Holidays Electric Lights Parade on Saturday.
Corsino is a longtime volunteer and community ambassador. For the last decade, she has been the front desk receptionist at the Ken Baxter Senior/Community Center.
On the center’s opening day 10 years ago, she was the first volunteer. She also was the first to volunteer 1,000 hours to the center.
The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 1049 State Ave., and continues south to Fifth Street.
