Arlington: Dinner fundraiser for seniors
Members of the Stillaguamish Senior Center plan to serve a chicken dinner at noon Sundayat the center, 18308 Smokey Point Blvd.
Larry Alsbury is scheduled to perform.
The menu includes roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw and rolls.
Cost is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors and $5 for children under 12.
The money raised from the dinner helps keep seniors active in the community.

The deadline to enter your pictures in this year’s Eagle Festival photo contest is Feb. 3.
The photo contest and a poetry contest are part of the third annual festival Feb. 6, sponsored by the Stillaguamish Tribe and the city of Arlington.

Marysville: School plans cultural fair
Marysville Middle School will host its second annual cultural fair from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the school’s cafeteria, 4923 67th St. NE.
Food, music and student displays from a variety of cultural backgrounds are part of the evening’s festivities.

Stanwood: PTA seeks items for auction
The Stanwood PTA is looking for donations for its sixth annual fundraising auction scheduled for March 20 in the Stanwood Elementary School gym.
This year’s theme is “Rock ‘til You Drop.” The festive evening is set to include live and silent auctions, dinner and entertainment in a nostalgic 1950s style atmosphere.
Funds raised provide support for field trips, classroom supplies, the Missoula Children’s Theatre and other educational programs that benefit students.

Warm Beach: Class for firefighters Friday
The North County Regional Fire Authority is hosting a special class for firefighters on Friday at the Warm Beach Camp and Conference Center, Battalion Chief Christian Davis said.
The leading instructor is Chief Rick Lasky of Lewisville, Texas. The class will focus on how firefighters can best serve their communities.
Crews from Snohomish, Skagit, Whatcom and Island counties are expected to attend the class.
