Arlington: Old Time Fiddlers jam

The Old Time Fiddlers group is set to meet tonight at the Sisco Heights Community Club, 13527 99th Ave. NE near Arlington

A Celtic jam begins at 5 p.m., with a workshop at 6 p.m., a circle jam at 7 p.m. and a free stage show from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Listeners and acoustic musicians of all ages are welcome.

Arlington: Food bank fundraiser planned

The Gleneagle Country Club plans a fundraiser for the Arlington Community Food Bank at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Gleneagle club house, 7619 E. Country Club Dr., Arlington.

Those who attend are asked to bring nonperishable food and be prepared to participate in raffles to benefit the food bank.

A buffet dinner and entertainment begins at 5:45 p.m. Cost is $25.

Granite Falls: Senior center plans bingo day

The Granite Falls Senior Center is planning a family bingo day on Saturday.

Two bingo sessions are planned, one from noon to 3 p.m. and another from 4 to 7 p.m. at the center, 302 S. Granite Ave.

The kitchen will be open and parents are welcome to bring their children.

Proceeds will go to help support the senior center.

Participants are asked to bring a nonperishable item for the senior center’s food drive.

Stanwood: Historical society offers concert

Stanwood Area Historical Society plans to present “Yuletide Baroque,” a festive celebration of carols and baroque music.

The concert at 7 tonight features flutist Jeffrey Cohan and harpsichordist George Shangrow at the Floyd Norgaard Cultural Center at 27130 102nd Ave. NW, Stanwood.

Warm Beach: Kids can design fire patch

Kids in first through fifth grades are invited to enter their designs for a new junior firefighter patch. The contest deadline is Dec. 22. All entries receive a certificate.

Winners are set to be announced Jan. 15 and then invited to their local fire station to receive an award from Fire Chief Dale Fulfs.

Winners also get a $20 gift certificate.

Winning entries are to be printed on stickers to be distributed at public safety events.
