BELLEVUE – Paccar, one of the world’s biggest truck companies, has received one of the biggest orders in its 98-year history, a 3,000-truck deal that could be worth more than $300 million, the company said.
Interstate Equipment Leasing Inc. of Phoenix placed the order Friday with Kenworth Trucking Co., a Paccar subsidiary.
Kenworth said most of the trucks will be built at its Renton plant. It will begin shipping trucks at the end of this month.
The W900 sleeper cab trucks generally sell for $100,000 to $120,000 each, depending on options.
