Bothell: Oregon Trail Travelers Encampment through Sunday, Park at Bothell Landing, 9919 NE 180th St. Re-creation of an encampment from the 1800s, complete with a blacksmith station and more; Patriot Dance featuring Blue Mariah, 7 p.m. Saturday, Park at Bothell Landing; Fire and Emergency Management Services pancake breakfast, 9:30-11:30 a.m. Sunday, downtown firehouse, 10726 Beardslee Blvd.; Children’s Parade, 12:15 p.m. Sunday, line-up at 104th Avenue NE and Main Street. Parade route proceeds west on Main Street and then north on Bothell-Everett Highway to NE 188th Street. Edmonds: Pancake breakfast, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday, Masonic Lodge, 515 Dayton St. $5; Children’s parade, noon, main parade, 1 p.m. Sunday, downtown; Washington State Civil War Association infantry loading and firing demonstration, 3 p.m. Sunday, City Park, Third Avenue S. and Pine Street; Fire department water-ball competition, 3:30 p.m. Sunday, City Park; entertainment, 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Edmonds Civic Stadium, Sixth Avenue and Bell Street; fireworks, 10 p.m. Sunday, Civic Stadium.

Everett: Pancake breakfast, 7 a.m.-noon Sunday, Flying Pig, 2929 Colby Ave.; Yankee Doodle Dash, 8:30 a.m. 10K, 8:40 a.m. 5K, 8:45 a.m. family fun run, entry fee required, Everett Family YMCA, 2720 Rockefeller Ave.; Everett Jaycees Community Fourth of July Parade and Navy Prowler fly-over, noon Sunday, begins at 25th Street and Colby Avenue to Wall Street, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2100 and the Auxiliary in Everett will have two floats in the Everett parade. One is a birthday cake for America and one is to show support for troops and to remember to keep flying yellow ribbons until all service members come home; Everett Memorial Stadium hosts a family carnival, 1:30-4 p.m. Sunday, 3802 Broadway, admission free with an AquaSox game ticket; AquaSox Thunder on the Bay fireworks, 10 p.m., view from Everett waterfront parks. Music coordinated with fireworks at Grand Avenue Park, 1800 Grand Ave.; Legion Park, 145 Alverson Blvd.; 10th Street boat launch off W. Marine View Drive, and Harborview Park, 1621 Mukilteo Blvd.

Freeland: Celebrate America, family events and fireworks, 5-11 p.m. today, Freeland Park, Shoreview Drive and Myrtle Street, Whidbey Island.

Lynnwood: Star-Spangled Celebration, 7-10:40 p.m. Sunday, Lynnwood Athletics Complex, 3001 184th St. SW, Lynnwood. Fireworks, 10 p.m. Sunday

Marysville: All servicemen and women, active or retired, are invited to services at 8:45 a.m. or 10:15 a.m. Sunday, Marysville First Assembly of God, 4705 Grove St., Marysville. Join them to be videotaped, then the tape will be sent to Iraq to show to military personnel.

Monroe: Demolition Derby and Fireworks Show, 5 p.m. Sunday, Evergreen Speedway, 14405 179th Ave. SE, Monroe.

Oak Harbor: Carnival at city beach park through Sunday; Rotary pancake breakfast at the YMCA, 7:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday, 540 SE Pioneer Way; Key Bank’s Grand Parade, 11 a.m. Saturday, Pioneer Way, with a fly-over from Whidbey Island Naval Air Station.

Stanwood: Parade, 11 a.m. Saturday, D.O. Pearson House Museum, 27112 102nd Ave. NW and along the old brick road; ice cream social, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Pearson House; picnic, 6 p.m., music, 8 p.m., fireworks, 10 p.m. Sunday, Heritage Park, 9600 276th St. NW in the soccer field west of the baseball fields. Park at Heritage Park, Thrifty Foods, Stanwood Middle School and Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Don’t bring fireworks, alcohol, cigarettes or dogs.

South Whidbey Island: A parade is planned Sunday on Maxwellton Road. Veterans, who are invited to wear their uniforms if they wish, should go to the start of the parade at Sweet Hill and Maxwellton roads at 12:30 p.m. before the parade starts or call Bill Cotterell for more information at 360-221-8174.
