Northbound I-5 lanes in Marysville got a new layer of asphalt, but rainy weather means the southbound lanes will have to wait until next year.
“Due to weather … we weren’t able to get as much done on I-5 this year as we expected,” state Department of Transportation spokesman Marqise Allen wrote in an update. “So we’ll be getting things in a good place to hit the pause button and finish repaving those southbound lanes the first chance we get in the spring when the weather is warmer and drier.”
