EVERETT — A man who died after being hit by a car earlier this month on Evergreen Way has been identified.
Adrian Van Wyck, 47, of Everett, was walking around 3:30 p.m. Sept. 3 near the 8500 block of Evergreen Way when he was hit by a car.
The Everett man was jay-walking across Evergreen Way west-to-east, Everett Police Department spokesperson Aaron Snell said. Two cars slowed to a stop to wait for the man. A third driver — in a Jeep — was northbound on the far-right side of the road. The driver did not see the pedestrian, Snell said, and his Jeep struck Van Wyck.
Van Wyck was taken to a hospital, where he died Sept. 11. He died of blunt-force injuries, the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office announced Tuesday afternoon. His death was determined to be an accident.
The driver of the Jeep did not appear to be intoxicated at the time of the crash, Snell said.
Snell said the investigation has been completed and no arrests were made.
