LYNNWOOD — A man who was hit while crossing a street in Lynnwood on Tuesday evening was in critical condition Wednesday in a Seattle hospital.
The accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. at 48th Avenue W and 194th Street SW, Lynnwood police Sgt. Sean Doty said.
The pedestrian, 77, suffered head injuries after he was struck by a station wagon-style vehicle, Doty said. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center where he was listed in the intensive care unit Wednesday.
The driver, 57, remained at the accident scene and was cooperative during the investigation, Doty said. There was no evidence that the driver was impaired, police reported.
