EDMONDS — A Seattle woman was killed early Sunday morning when she was hit by a car in the 21400 block of Highway 99.
Edmonds police responded to the accident about 1:30 a.m., after the car’s driver called 911, Sgt. Don Anderson said.
By the time police arrived, the 39-year-old woman was dead. It wasn’t clear why she walked into the road, Anderson said.
Police closed the highway for several hours, diverting traffic until a little after 5 a.m.
The accident remains under investigation.
