LYNNWOOD — A pedestrian was killed early Sunday morning in Lynnwood when a car struck him.
The man was in the middle of Highway 99 near 204th Street SW with his dog when the car hit him, according to Lynnwood police. He was not in a crosswalk. The driver called 911 and stayed at the scene. The dog was later found alive.
Lynnwood police urged caution for drivers and pedestrians.
“Please use a crosswalk. Please watch for the other person, whether you’re a driver, cyclist or pedestrian and whether you have the right of way or not,” the department wrote on Facebook. “We don’t want to tell one more family that their loved one isn’t coming home because of an avoidable accident.”
