EVERETT — A pedestrian died after being struck by two vehicles Tuesday morning on U.S. 2 east of Snohomish.
At 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, first responders from South County Fire District No. 4 and Snohomish Regional Fire & Rescue responded to a report of a car versus pedestrian collision near the intersection of 88th Street Southeast.
Upon arrival, firefighters declared the pedestrian, a 29-year-old woman from Monroe, deceased at the scene.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will confirm the cause and manner of death.
The pedestrian was walking west on U.S. 2 when a gray Ford F-150 hit her, Washington State Patrol spokesperson Kelsey Harding said. The other vehicle, a white semitruck, struck the pedestrian moments later.
Washington State Patrol briefly closed U.S. 2 at 88th Street Southeast for investigation. It has since reopened.
