EDMONDS — An Edmonds pharmacist was arrested Wednesday after allegedly being high on the job. The 47-year-old man was booked for investigation of felony drug possession.
“It is unknown exactly what he was under the influence of, but he was in possession of several different types of prescription pills,” police Sgt. Josh McClure said.
A police bulletin on Thursday urged customers of the Edmonds Pharmacy, 7631 212th St. SW, to double-check recently filled prescriptions. Anyone with concerns about their prescriptions should contact the pharmacy.
“At this point, Edmonds police are not aware of any prescriptions that were filled in error,” McClure said.
Officers arrived at the business about 7 p.m. A customer had called 911 after becoming concerned with the pharmacist’s well-being.
Detectives have contacted the Department of Health, and an investigation continues.
