LYNNWOOD – Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies this afternoon have released photographs of three young men suspected in an early morning smash-and-grab spree at the Ash Way Park and Ride.
Deputies and Community Transit are asking for the public’s help to identify the car prowlers.
“Someone out there probably will recognize at least one of these people,” sheriff’s Sgt. Dave Sorenson said. “We urge them to come forward and help us catch the people responsible for this crime.”
Security cameras captured the trio walking through the parking lot and breaking into vehicles between 4 a.m. and 4:45 a.m. Monday. One photograph also captured the suspected getaway car.
Dozens of cars were parked in the lot overnight. About 20 cars were damaged and burglarized. Glass littered the parking lot.
The suspects also may have wiped dew off the windows of other vehicles hunting for property inside, officials said.
“Any time you have a lot of cars parked in one place, whether it’s an apartment complex, a shopping center or a park and ride, this sort of thing can happen,” Sorenson said. “Whenever people park, they should be vigilant and not leave valuables in sight inside of their vehicle.”
Anyone who recognizes the suspects or has information about the crime is asked to call 425-438-6217.
