EDMONDS – Olympic View Drive was closed and electricity was knocked out Friday night after a pickup truck veered off the road, struck a power pole, rolled and burst into flames.
The accident happened about 6 p.m. near the intersection of 88th Avenue W. Two people in the pickup, who reportedly climbed out of the wreckage by themselves, suffered minor injuries. One was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for precautionary reasons, Edmonds Acting Battalion Chief Patrick Hepler said.
Firefighters contained the fire to the truck. Olympic View Drive was closed for about two hours, Hepler said.
