DEER PARK — The pilot of a small plane has died after the plane he was flying crashed near Spokane.
Emergency personnel responded to the crash near the Deep Park airport Friday morning.
Spokane County Fire District 4 spokeswoman Megan Hill says the pilot was found dead at the scene and no one else was found in or around the plane.
Spokane County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Deputy Mark Gregory says whether the man was taking off or landing was unclear.
The Spokesman-Review reported that the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Security Board Investigators will investigate.
The pilot’s name has not been released.
