LAKE STEVENS — Highway 92 is expected to be closed at North Machias Road this weekend and next as crews build a new bridge over Little Pilchuck Creek. Then in July, the same intersection will be closed for 13 days.
Highway 92 and North Machias Road intersection closures are scheduled for 9 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday and again June 15-18. The 13-day closure will happen some time after the Fourth of July.
The work will result in a new 60-foot fish passage. The $6 million project aims to allow for migratory trout and salmon travel.
