ARLINGTON — A small plane crashed at Arlington Municipal Airport Saturday morning. One person was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The pilot, an adult male, was flown to the hospital at about 10 a.m. The incident involved a light sport biplane, according Sarah Lopez, a city of Arlington spokesperson.
Lopez said the plane was airborne before the accident, but she didn’t know what caused the crash.
North County Regional Fire Authority, Arlington police and airport staff responded to the scene at about 9:21 a.m.
Lopez said in an email that no runway closures were needed and the airplane was taken to a hangar.
