RICHLAND — A former Hanford field supervisor accused of aiding timecard fraud could face eight months in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
The Tri-City Herald reported that Daniel Niebuhr entered a plea agreement Friday in federal court in Richland. Federal prosecutors agreed to drop three other counts and recommend a sentence of eight months in prison.
Niebuhr worked as a field work supervisor at Hanford from 1999 to 2008 when CH2M Hill Hanford Group held the tank farm contract.
Court documents show nearly 11 percent of his overtime claims were for supervising former Hanford workers who have pleaded guilty to timecard fraud.
