WARSAW, Poland — A Polish state commission says a circuit breaker in the “off” position may have forced a Boeing plane to land on its belly last month when its landing gear failed to deploy.
The preliminary report published Thursday by the State Commission on Aircraft Accident Investigation only described the events before and after the Boeing 767-300 with 231 people on board landed in Warsaw on Nov. 1. No one was injured.
The report did not officially determine the cause of the emergency landing nor did it assign any blame.
The commission found that one of the circuit breakers linked to the landing gear was in the “off” position, and a hydraulic fluid hose was damaged.
