EVERETT — Police arrested a man Friday after he broke into a house during the day.
A neighbor reported a burglary in progress in the 1600 block of Colby Avenue just after noon, Everett Police Sgt. Robert Goetz said.
When police arrived, the suspect fled the scene through neighborhood yards.
One of the officers found the suspect hiding in a yard, Goetz said.
The 37-year-old south Everett man was booked into Snohomish County Jail on burglary charges.
Most or all of the stolen property was recovered, Goetz said.
Police are working to identify a second suspect in the case.
