EVERETT – Officers arrested a 32-year-old Everett man on Sunday morning following a burglary investigation, the Everett Police Department said.
About 1:30 a.m. officers spotted a man at a construction site at 1902 Wetmore Ave., attempting to steal a tool trailer.
The man fled the scene and wasn’t located immediately.
But police found a suspicious pickup with four propane tanks in it at the suspect’s residence on Hoyt Avenue about 8:30 a.m.
The pickup was registered to the suspect, and he confessed, police said.
He told police that he stole the propane tanks, worth about $80, from Walgreen Drug Store at 2205 Broadway before going to the construction site where he was attempting to steal the trailer.
The man was arrested and booked into the Snohomish County jail.
