ARLINGTON — Police arrested a man Sunday after a pursuit on Highway 9.
An Arlington police officer saw a man leave a known drug house Sunday in the 400 block of South Cobb Street. The man had felony and misdemeanor warrants out for his arrest, according to a press release.
The 32-year-old suspect got in his car and drove away. The officer followed and attempted to pull over the car. Instead, the suspect reportedly sped off heading north on Highway 9.
Arlington police later found the suspect’s car. It was abandoned in the 23600 block of 35th Avenue NE.
However, a police dog was able to track down the suspect.
He has since been booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of eluding police, theft and driving with a suspended license.
The suspect and police officer were treated for minor injuries received during the search, said Kristin Banfield, a spokeswoman for the city of Arlington.
