EVERETT — A Kent man was behind bars Tuesday after a police chase ended in a crash near Everett Mall Way and Highway 526.
Around 5 a.m., somebody in a stolen sport utility vehicle tried to outrun a Snohomish County sheriff’s deputy and crashed into a car, sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said. No injuries were reported in the wreck.
The suspect, 25, was arrested at the scene and later booked into Snohomish County Jail for investigation of attempting to elude police, possessing a stolen vehicle and a parole violation.
The morning commute was slowed as investigators gathered evidence at the scene.
