SEATTLE — A Seattle couple has been charged with animal fighting and firearms charges in connection with a dog fighting operation in South Seattle.
Seattle police told KING-TV 30-year-old Erich Hvon Daulo and 35-year-old Tammy Thanh Nguyen have both been charged with animal fighting and two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm in the first degree.
Seattle police said the case began with a Seattle Animal Shelter investigating neighbors’ complaints of dogs tied up and barking near Seward Park.
The Washington State Gambling Commission and the Seattle Police Department’s Major Crimes Task Force investigated. Officers found the suspect’s website described their pit bulls having the bloodlines of famous fighting dogs.
Both Daulo and Nguyen are scheduled to be arraigned on Aug. 10 at the King County Courthouse.
