VANCOUVER, Wash. — A Clark County sheriff’s dog was stabbed to death early Saturday as he tried to detain a suspect.

r. Police say the dog tried to detain one of the suspects and was stabbed.
Kane died at an animal hospital. He worked as a police dog for the past six years and was set to retire next year.
Deputies arrested Keegan Graves, 31, of La Center, on suspicion of harming a police dog, auto theft and attempting to elude a police officer. They also arrested Natasa Cresap, 22, of Yacolt, on an outstanding Department of Corrections warrant.
