SNOHOMISH — Detectives have wrapped up their investigation into a fatal crash last month along Springhetti Road near Snohomish.
Gerardo Blanco Vega, 37, reportedly was drunk and speeding Jan. 4 when he crossed the center line and struck a van. He died from his injuries. The van driver was unhurt.
Blanco Vega allegedly was driving 58 mph where the speed limit is 35, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. Forensic tests showed he was more than twice the legal limit for alcohol.
