LYNNWOOD — A Lynnwood couple died this week in an apparent murder-suicide, according to police.
William and Elna Prothero, both 82, were found dead in their home in the 18400 block of 60th Avenue West on Monday. William Prothero died from three gunshot wounds, Lynnwood police spokesperson Joanna Small said. His cause of death was homicide, the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office determined.
Elna Prothero died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the medical examiner.
