EDMONDS — Authorities still are working to identify a suspect in a fatal shooting in the Meadowdale area last month.
The man who was killed was believed to be in his early 30s, said Shari Ireton, a spokeswoman for the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s major crimes detectives are conducting an ongoing investigation, she said.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office has not released the man’s name or cause of death. The medical examiner’s death investigations can take several months to complete in some instances, especially those where evidence must be submitted for scientific testing.
The shooting was reported just before 11 p.m. Nov. 28. It happened on a large residential property along 56th Ave. W., in unincorporated Edmonds north of Lynnwood, near Meadowdale Beach Park.
Deputies arrived to find the man dead in a car that was parked in the driveway outside the home, Ireton said.
County property records show about a half-dozen properties on that part of the street. The largest lot covers about 1.2 acres and has been owned by a family trust based in Edmonds since 2012.
Detectives still are asking for tips, which can be provided anonymously, Ireton said.
Anyone with information is asked to call 425-388-3845.
No new details about the shooting were made public as of Friday.
