CORVALLIS, Ore. — Corvallis police have identified the victim in a killing at a city park as a 42-year-old woman who had been homeless for some years.
Investigators told the Corvallis Gazette-Times there are no suspects in the death of Kimberly Theresa Hakes.
She died in the woods at a city-owned park on the east bank of the Willamette River where homeless people often camp.
An autopsy showed she died of traumatic head injuries. Lt. Cord Wood said police are still trying to establish when she died. The body was found Sunday.
