ARLINGTON — A body found in Arlington on Saturday has been identified as Martin Eugene Pickett, 48.
Officials haven’t yet determined how Pickett died, but police are treating the death as suspicious.
Pickett often was homeless and frequented the Everett area, Arlington city spokeswoman Kristin Banfield said. He was found dead about 5:30 a.m. in the 16800 block of Smokey Point Boulevard.
His body was spotted by a neighbor who was leaving home for work.
Police believe one of the last people to see Pickett alive was another transient, Nial G. Harris, 52.
Detectives would like to talk to Harris about the death, Banfield said. Harris may be armed and dangerous, and anyone who sees him should call 911.
He is described as 5-foot-6 and about 140 pounds with gray-brown hair and hazel eyes.
Pickett’s cause and manner of death are pending further investigation, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
