BURIEN — Police are investigating the theft of thousands of dollars’ worth of equipment from a Burien church.
KING-TV reported that thieves took almost everything the Taproot Church uses for its Sunday service. The stolen items range from bibles to electronic equipment.
Pastor Darin Brill says the church is an easy target because its schedule is predictable.
The church meets in the Burien Community Center and stores its speakers, microphones, and other equipment in a trailer.
Brill says the trailer was parked outside a church member’s home last week when someone hitched up to it and drove away with more than $30,000 worth of equipment inside.
The church says its insurance will cover the loss. Police say they only have a vague description of a suspect.
