EVERETT — Extra speed patrols in the past few weeks led to 1,189 speeding tickets in Snohomish County.
Police officers, sheriff’s deputies and troopers from all over the county conducted the emphasis patrols between July 15 and Aug. 7.
The patrols also netted four felony arrests, seven misdemeanor arrests, four drunken-driving arrests and more than 240 other citations for driving violations.
The extra patrols were funded through a grant from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission.
