KENT — Police have killed an armed man at a transit center in Kent.
KOMO News reports several people called 911 when the man arrived at Kent Station about 9 a.m. Wednesday carrying a gun.
Two officers responded. Lt. Tracey Gurr says the man acted in a threatening manner before the officers fired.
Witnesses say the man refused police orders to “freeze” and was walking toward them with a hand under his jacket when both officers fired.
Medics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
No one else was injured.
