EDMONDS — A 35 year-old man was stabbed in a bar fight in Edmonds early on New Year’s Day.
At 1:32 a.m., Edmonds police responded to a reported assault at the Channel Marker Bar at 170 Sunset Ave.
The victim had been stabbed in the abdomen, according to a news release from Edmonds Police Department. Medics treated the man, who was then taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He is in stable condition.
Police are looking for the suspect, who left before they arrived.
The fight happened in an adjacent parking lot. Detectives have been talking with people who may have been involved or witnessed the fight, and watching surveillance video footage. The attack does not appear to be random, according to the department.
