EVERETT — A 28-year-old man was shot early Monday morning south of Everett in what police believe was a gang-related shooting.
Around 1 a.m., a woman knocked on the door of an apartment in the 100 block of 127th Street SE, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. A woman answered the door. Two men pushed their way inside the apartment. The men and another man, 28, exchanged gunfire. The 28-year-old was wounded outside the apartment. The suspects fled.
The wounded man was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett with serious but not life-threatening injuries. He was not cooperating with investigators.
Investigators were searching Monday afternoon for the woman and two men in connection with the shooting, sheriff’s spokesperson Courtney O’Keefe said.
