LAKE STEVENS – Police are trying to get more information about a pit bull who was apparently abandoned in front of a Frontier Village-area bank and may have been bred to fight.
The dog was found around 7 a.m. on Sept. 16 in front of the Washington Mutual Bank, Lake Stevens code enforcement officer Cindy Brooks said.
He had a recent injury to his left ear and scars on his body, she said. The dog doesn’t get along with other animals leading police to believe he may have been used in dog fights.
He is black and white pit bull who was wearing a multi-colored nylon collar with what appeared to be sheep on it. The dog was tied up with what looks like a rock climbing rope.
Anyone with information about the animal is asked to call Lake Stevens Police at 425-334-9537.
