LAKE STEVENS — Police on Tuesday afternoon were looking for a man who reportedly sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl who was walking her younger sister home from grade school.
Around 2:45 p.m. the sisters were walking in the 3000 block of Grade Road when a man approached from the other direction, Lake Stevens Police Chief Randy Celori said.
As the man came up to the girls, he reportedly grabbed the older girl’s chest, Celori said.
The girls screamed and the man ran off. Police do not believe the man was trying to kidnap the girl.
Police from around the area searched, but they were unable to find the suspect.
The man is described as white, between 30 and 40 years old, with blue eyes and brown hair. He was unshaven and wearing a brown coat with a blue hood, Celori said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Lake Stevens police at 425-334-9537.
