LYNNWOOD — Detectives are on the trail of a man they suspect has been pilfering pricey vacuum cleaners around the Puget Sound region.
They believe a two-man team has been hitting retail stores around the region. The men reportedly have been nabbing Dyson brand vacuums and returning them for refunds, Lynnwood police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions said Wednesday.
One of the stores hit was in Lynnwood. The vacuums cost more than $600 each.
Police have arrested one of the men, but he has not been charged.
The second man is described as white, in his 20s and about 6-foot-2. He was seen on surveillance video apparently hefting a vacuum.
Investigators urge people to call Lynnwood police detective Scott Dilworth at 425-670-5619 if they know anything about the second man.
